Casacol Expectorant Syrup

Description

Casacol Expectorant Syrup is a viscous pale red-straw coloured syrup with a cherry odour used in the treatment of chesty cough and congestion associated with the common cold and other similar conditions in adults and children over 6 years of age.

How to Use

  • For oral use only.
  • Always use the spoon supplied with the pack.
  • Not for use in children under 6 years of age.
  • Only indicated for use in children aged between 6 and 12 years of age for second line use.

Age

Dose

Children aged between 6 and 12 years of age Using the spoon provided, give one 5ml spoonful of syrup three to four times per 24 hour period (max. 20mls spaced out over any 24 hour period)
Adults and children over 12 years of age Using the spoon provided, take one or two 5ml spoonfuls (i.e.=5mls or 10mls) three to four times per 24 hour period

• Do not take more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period 

• Leave at least 4-6 hours between doses

• If symptoms persist or worsen for 5 days, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

Active Ingredient

Each 5ml spoonful of Casacol Expectorant Syrup contains 20mg Methoxyphenamine hydrochloride, 100mg Guaiphenesin and 200mg
